We are an independent non-profit organization working with Muslim Scholars of Fiqh to act as a reference for all Halal issues (food & beyond) on behalf of the Halal consumers. We are not the product - or under the influence - of any specific businesses or specific Islamic Centres, masjid or organization. Our goal is to work with all Muslims who are concerned about Halal & Haram matters.
Our areas of focus are: Accreditation, Research and Training.
CHART will work locally and globally to advance research and education related to the religion of Islam, Muslims and all Industries related to Halal living and services. To advance Halal living by working on promoting all that is Halal and assisting Muslim minorities around the world with Halal standardization, training, auditing, accreditation and certification

We are very pleased to be endorsed by CCI representing over 150 Canadian Imams and Scholars. The Imams understand very well the Halal issues in the community and the council supports all community initiatives that unite, protect Muslims and their practices.
OMCC has a large membership of Muslim owned businesses in Ontario and is supporting this initiative to protect the Halal industry in Canada and in Ontario where the majority of Muslims live and work.
With the growing numbers of frauds and abuses of the Halal consumer, Canadian Muslims are speaking up and demanding for a course of action to audit certifiers, protect and organize the Halal industry.
Our administrative team is made of experts in food science, finance, Canadian Law, Halal regulations, Management and Human resources. With our community support and with our humble means, we are committed to serve the Halal consumers by auditing the Halal Certifiers under the guidance of our advisory board.
The Majlis comprises comprises of scholars from different backgrounds with a long experience serving the Muslim communities in North America and with their specialty in Fiqh issues or specific expertise. Click here for the full list of our members.
